THE KHAJANCHI FAMILY
HEMANT KHAJANCHI
Hemant Khajanchi is an accomplished jeweller and collector from Bikaner, who belongs to the fourth generation of the city's royal jewellers. As was the custom in those times, Hemant embraced his family’s business affairs immediately after his graduation. He supported the family's then flagship business "Khazana," a benchmark in luxury jewellery design and a well-known brand in India. Hemant's love for art and antiques started as a hobby and quickly transformed into a consuming passion. Rajasthan's Mughal miniature paintings, coins, stamps, antique jewellery, and textiles all reunite different strands of the rich cultural fabric of India, and Hemant's intimacy with Rajasthan, its people, and heritage give him a very special vantage point in this regard. Hemant currently heads production and operations at the company.
PRAMOD KHAJANCHI
Pramod Khajanchi was born in 1972. Educated in Bikaner, Pramod showed an early inclination towards public life, excelling as a student and a sportsman, and taking on leadership roles from a very young age. With youthful ambition, Pramod spearheaded his family's business of rare-authentic handicrafts and antiques. His role as the head of finance at the company, enabled him to travel extensively within the country & beyond, providing opportunities to explore various tribal cultures as well as neo-contemporary societies worldwide. Pramod also serves as the President of the Business and Industry Cell of Bikaner, where he actively works to safeguard the interests of exporters.
RAHUL KHAJANCHI
The eldest amongst the next generation of Khajanchi scions, Rahul is an avid traveller, motorcycling hobbyist, and a graduate in speciality diamonds & jewellery design. Rahul draws inspiration from his travels, while remaining firmly grounded in the traditions of his hometown, Bikaner. His designs aim to blend heritage with contemporary wearability, emphasising the belief that "Art is Freedom" and using it to sculpt a new generation of jewellery wearers. Currently, his focus is on creating pieces for the younger generation and he hopes to spearhead a jewellery renaissance for men.
MUDIT KHAJANCHI
Mudit Khajanchi spent his childhood surrounded by gemstones and miniature arts, which stoked his interest in the business of his forefathers from a very young age. After spending his learning years in Mumbai, where he completed his masters in luxury management and majors in business administration, Mudit built a career in films - working as AD in a leading production house. They say it’s hard to resist your primal calling, Mudit returned to his hometown, to infuse his creativity and passion into the family business. His focus, akin to a snooker player aiming at the striker, is fixated on taking the pristine Khajanchi arts to the forefront of global stage.
